Thought I would show off a little project I completed this weekend because I've been hoping to get around to it for weeks (okay maybe months). It was so easy to accomplish but the impact it makes on my little work space is huge.
I have a simple white desk with ample storage space that my wonderful boyfriend found on the side of the road and literally carried home on his back for me. It's been serving me well as a place to sew and craft but having all of my supplies visible below the worktop really irked me. It was the first thing you saw when you walked in the room and certainly an eyesore.
Now when you enter the room you see this:
Much better. And all it took was two simple (and really cheap) white fabric panels hemmed on three sides and staple gunned to the desk. All I need to do now is hot glue a piece of ribbon along the top edge to hide the staples and it will be complete. I still have more plans for this area, like fancying up that cork board, but this quick change already makes me want to spend more time here.
What do you think?

Simple and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous idea and so simple too! I have far too much shoved under my desk to keep it on display all the time too, this might just be the solution!
